New beauties from London

Empezamos la semana con un post en el que os enseño las cositas que me he comprado en Londres. Si habéis estado allí ¡¡seguro que sabréis lo difícil que es no caer en la tentación de volverse loca y quemar la tarjeta de crédito!! Jajajajajaja...

Lo cierto es que yo estoy contenta con mis adquisiciones y espero poder enseñároslas poco a poco en el blog.

My summer buys

I only paid 3 € for each t-shirt!!

Una de las cosas que más me gusta hacer durante mis vacaciones es visitar los mercadillos locales. Seguro que muchas estás pensando. “¿Mercadillo? ¡Pero si no hay más que trapos!” Bueno… ¡eso depende del mercadillo chicas! ;-)

Cómo la mayoría de vosotras sabréis en el sur de España (en concreto Alicante y Murcia) es donde se concentran la mayoría (y las mejores) fábricas de zapatos de piel de España. (Como ejemplo os diré que Cuplé o Stuart Weitzman tienen allí sus fábricas) ¿Y sabéis a dónde van a parar los excedente o las colecciones pasadas de esas fábricas? ¡¡Exacto, a los mercadillos!! ¡¡Y normalmente a precios de risa!!

Ahí es donde entra en juego vuestro buen ojo y capacidad de “caza tesoros”. Jajajajaja…Yo cada año que bajo encuentro algún tesoro y os aseguro que no me importa decir que los compré en un mercadillo porque por el precio de un par en Barcelona…¡¡allí me llevo dos o tres y encima 100% piel!!

One of the things that I love most during my holidays is to visit the local markets. I’m sure most of you are now thinking. “Local markets?? But there you can only find rags!!” Well… it depends on the local market ladies..!! ;-)

For my non-Spanish readers, let me tell you that the South of Spain (specially Alicante and Murcia) is where one can find the biggest (and best) leather shoes factories of Spain. (As an example I’ll tell you that Cuple or Stuart Weiztman have their factories there!). And what happens with all the surplus of shoes and old collections?? Well they obviosuly end up in the local markets. And usually at giveaway prices!!

It's there where our “eye for fashion and treasure hunt spirit" comes into play. LOL… Every year I find a treasure and I don’t’ mind admitting that I like to buy in local markets… Usually I ended up with two or three pairs of shoes for the price that one pair would cost me in Barcelona!! And 100% leather!!

Do you also like to buy in local markets or do you prefer shops??

When I saw the coat hanged it didn't tell me anything but when I tried it on...I felt from head to toe. It's so Céline style!!

Aunque todavía es oficialmente invierno las buenas temperaturas y la nueva temporada ya en tiendas invitan a comprar ¿O acaso sois capaces de resistiros? (Bueno yo conozco a más de una que este mes se lo ha propuesto ¿¿verdad Eli??) ;-)

Yo estoy muy contenta con estas primeras adquisiciones porque 1) era lo que estaba buscando y 2) ¡¡no me he pasado de mi presupuesto!!

Even though it’s still officially winter the good temperatures and the new season already in the shops, invite to buy. Or are you capable of resisting it?? (Well I know some out there that are trying hard, aren’t you Eli??) ;-)

I’m very happy with these first purchases ‘cause 1) they were what I was looking for and 2) I haven’t overspent!!

Why I love my new parka...

-Porque tiene un precioso color azul noche y no es verde como el 90% de las parkas (¡Y que conste que me gustan la parkas verdes!)

-Porque tienen la medida perfecta: ni muy corta ni muy larga.

-Porque su chaleco interior es de quita y pon (¡igual que su capucha!)

-Porque su interior de cuadros le da un aire muy “preppy”

-¡Porque sólo me costó 30 €!

-Because it has a beautiful blue night color and it is not green as 90% of the parkas (However I do like green parkas!)

-Because it has the perfect length: nor too short nor too long.

-Because its inside vest it’s detachable (and so is the hood!)

-Because its checked inside gives a certain “preppy” flair

-Because it was only 30 €!!

¡Hola chicas!

Siento mucho estos tres días sin posts pero la verdad es que he estado trabajando con un grupo de turistas que han venido de compras a Barcelona. Para colmo he estado enferma con un gripazo que me ha obligado a estar en cama… ¡por suerte ya me siento mejor!

Antes de nada quiero recordaros que el concurso para el clutch de ASOS finalizó le domingo y en breve publicaré el nombre de la ganadora. ¡Agradezco a todas las participantes su interés y os deseo mucha suerte!

En el post de hoy os muestro algunas de mis últimas adquisiciones. Lo cierto es que ser asesora de imagen y personal shopper es una profesión muy gratificante pero al mismo tiempo peligrosa porque siempre descubres cosas nuevas ¡y es muy difícil resistirse a la tentación! Pero si hay algo que he aprendido es a imponerme un presupuesto y no salirme de él. ¡Y os aseguro que mis compras resultan más fructíferas que nunca!

I’m really sorry the lack of post these pasts days but I’ve been working as a personal shopper with a group of tourists that have come to visit Barcelona. Besides that I’ve been terrible sick at home… fortunately I feel better now!

In today’s post I’m showing you some of my lasts purchases. To be honest, working as an image consultant and personal shopper can be both rewarding and dangerous at the same time as you are constantly discovering new beauties in all the shops you visit. And it’s really difficult to resist temptation! But if there’s something I’ve learned is to impose myself a budget. And I can assure that my buys are now more fruitful than ever!!
