Dress like "Gossip Girl"

Si sois una de los millones de fans de Gossip Girl, estáis de enhorabuena porque ahora podéis vestiros como Serena Van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) y Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester).

La firma americana Romeo & Juliet Couture ha lanzado una línea llamada “Inspired by Gossip Girl” que incluye camisetas estampadas, faldas plisadas, vestidos y tejanos con precios que van desde los 80 a los 200 dólares.  

La próxima colección de primavera incluirá bolsos y accesorios y se venderá en tiendas exclusivas como Neiman Marcus o Saks Fifth Avenue.

If you’re one of the million Gossip Girl fans, you’ll be happy to know that you can already dress like Serena Van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester).

The American fashion brand Romeo & Juliet Couture has launched a line called “Inspired by Gossip Girl” that includes patterned t-shirts, pleated skirts, dresses and jeans form prices starting 80 up to 200 dollars.     

The next spring collection will include bags and accessories and it will be sell at Neiman Marcus and Saks Fitfh Avenue.

Grey, brown and cream

Me encanta la combinación del gris con el marrón. Es elegante, cálida e ideal para el otoño. De hecho creo que el gris en cualquier variante (desde el perla al antracita) puede ser una base ideal para cualquier look en lugar de utilizar siempre el negro. Os aseguro que no es la primera - ni será la última - vez que me veáis de este color. ¿Qué os parece?

I love to combine grey with brown. I think is elegant, warm and an ideal combination for autumn. In fact I believe that grey colour in every shade (from pearl to anthracite) could be a perfect baseline for many looks instead of using so much black. I can tell you that this not the first and it won’t be the last time you’ll see me dressed in that colour. What do you think?

Iconic film: The Bridges of Madison County (1995)

Esta semana empiezo con la recomendación de la que desde mi punto de vista, es una de las películas más románticas y conmovedoras de la historia del cine: Los Puentes de Madison.

Dirigida en 1995 por Clint Eastwood y protagonizada por él mismo y por Meryl Streep, la película narra la historia de Francesca (Mery Streep) una solitaria ama de casa de Iowa casada con un soldado estadounidense. Mientras su marido e hijos se desplazan a la feria del Illinois, Francesca conoce a Robert Kincaid (Clint Eastwood) que ha llegado para fotografiar los puentes cubiertos de la zona para el National Geographic y se enamora perdidamente de él.

La película en una joya del cine romántico, ambos actores están sensacionales, espléndidos y el final es de esos que hace que se te encoja el estómago. Por que a ver chicas seamos sinceras

This week I begin with the recommendation of what I consider one of the most romantic and moving films in the cinema history: The Bridges of Madison County.

Directed in 1995 by Clint Eastwood and starred by himself and Mery Streep, the film tells the story of Francesca a lonely wife house living in Iowa and married with an american soldier. One day while her husband and children are out in the Illinois fair, Francesca meets Robert Kincaid (Clint Eastwood) a photographer that has come to take pictures of the covered bridges of the county for the National Geographic. They both fell crazy in love.

The film is a jewel, both actors are splendid, amazing and the end is the kind of endings that leave you with a very bitter taste… Because to be honest ladies

My last summer look?

El color block es un tendencia que me apasiona y que (confieso) me cuesta dejar de lado. Pero con estas temperaturas más propias del verano que del otoño…¿por qué no seguir vistiéndonos con color? Ya tendremos tiempo de ponernos tonos más otoñales/invernales.

Inspirada por una de las fotografías de mi post de ayer (la de la chica sentada con un vestido azul años 50, muy estilo azafata de la PANAM) decidí volver a ponerme mis pantalones azul eléctrico con una camiseta a rayas y un blazer negro de la nueva temporada de Stradivarius. El moño aporta un toque de clase a un look sencillo, cómodo, ponible y que encuentro ideal para el entretiempo.

Chicas ¿a vosotras os cuesta dejar los tonos del verano?

I have to admit that color block is a trend that I find particularly difficult to left behind, maybe because I love it. But with these temperatures more close to summer than autumn…why not dressing with colour? We’ll have time enough to wear more autumnal/winter tones.   

Inspired by one of the pictures I posted yesterday (the sitting girl in the blue 50’s dress, very PANAM stewardess style) I decide to wear again my electric blue jeans, with a stripped t-shirt and a black blazer of the Stradivarius new collection. The updo adds a touch of class to a very simple yet comfortable and wearable outfit that I found perfect for the transition.
