Una de las mejores cosas que tiene Barcelona en primavera son sus parques. Me chifla pasear y hacer fotos en ellos (¡en especial cuando voy con mis sobrinos!). Eso si se requiere un look cómodo y sencillo para correr y jugar en la hierba con ellos... ¡Jajajajaja!

PD: Compré estas sandalias haces unos días en un tienda de mi barrio ¡¡y aluciné cuando vi que son ideales para llevar con mi bolso de Bimba y Lola de hace un par de temporadas!!

One of the best things of Barcelona in spring are the parks. I love to walk and take pictures in them (particularly when I go with my nephews!). But of course, a comfy and simple look is required to run and play in the grass with them... Hahahahahaha!!

Esta falda creo que tiene más de 15 años pero es de esas piezas que guardo en mi armario con MUCHO cariño. Me encanta su movimiento y el detalle del bordado de las flores. Encima en super cómoda y tiene un color que nunca pasará de moda.

Pensé que era un look ideal para comer al lado del mar en uno de los restaurantes que hay a los pies del Hotel W.

¿Vosotras también tenéis en vuestro guardarropa piezas que por mucho que pasen los años seguís conservando y luciendo?

I think this skirt has more than 15 years old but is one of those little pieces I keep in my wardrobe with lots of LOVE. I like its movement and the detail of the embroidered flowers. Besides, it’s super comfy and the color will always look trendy.

I thought this was a perfect look to eat at the seashore in one of the restaurants located at the feet of W hotel.

The Brandery 2012 : My personal experience

Este fin de semana ha tenido lugar en Barcelona la sexta edición de The Brandery, feria de moda y tendencias que nació cuando el Bread & Butter volvió a Berlín. Según los organizadores la feria se ha cerrado con un buen balance (unos 30.000 visitantes), en especial gracias a la actividades paralelas que han tenido un gran éxito entre visitantes y profesionales.

Del total de las 135 marcas expositoras destacaban Custo (en cuyo stand presentaban su nueva colección de bolsos que personalmente me entusiasmó) y Replay (cuyo taller de costura “Made in Replay” ha sido una de las actividades más destacadas). Dejando de lado estas grandes marcas a mí personalmente me llamaron la atención las siguientes:

Aggabarti (www.aggabarti.com). Diseños de la Provenza francesa con ese toque romántico y lady que tanto me gusta

Higinio Mateu (www.higiniomateu.es). ¡Casi alta costura!

SMH Jeans (www.smf-jeans.com). Diseños trendy, muy coloridos y a precios muy asequibles

Veneno en la piel (www.venenoenlapiel.com). Presentó una colección P/V 2012 ESPECTACULAR ¡Os prepararé un post del desfile porque me entusiasmó!

La música también tuvo un lugar destacado en esta edición con conciertos entre los que destacaron Fangoria o Dorian.

Se han organizado más de 140 encuentros entre expositores y compradores entre los que destacan grandes grupos nacionales e internacionales como el Corte Inglés o Buy Vip.

Una feria de calidad que aspira a convertirse en una referencia tanto en el mercado nacional como el internacional.

This weekend has taken place in Barcelona The Brandery, a fashion and trend fair that was born when the Bread & Butter came back to Berlin. According to the promoters the fair has achieve good numbers (about 30.000 visitors), specially thanks to the activities developed in parallel that had a huge success between visitors and professionals.

Among the 135 expositors there were two that pointed out: Custo (whose amazing new bag collection was shown in their stand) and Replay (with one of the most popular activities, the sewing workshop “Made in replay”). Leaving aside this brands, here below I detail you the ones that personally caught my eye:

Aggabarti (www.aggabarti.com). French provence designs with this romantic and lady touch taht I like so much.

Higinio Mateu (www.higiniomateu.es). Practically haute couture!

SMH Jeans (www.smf-jeans.com). Trendy designs, very colourful and affordable prices.

Veneno en la piel (www.venenoenlapiel.com). Its S/S 12 collection is AMAZING (I’m preparing a post of the catwalk 'cause I loved it!)

Music had also an important role in this Brandery edition, with concerts of Fangoria or Dorian (very known here in Spain).

More than 140 meetings were organized among expositors and buyers from important national and international groups like El Corte Inglés or Buy Vip.

A high quality fair that aspires to become a national and international reference in the fashion world.

The Shopping Night Barcelona: My personal experience

Ya es Navidad en Barcelona. Ayer, con el encendido de las luces y la celebración de la Shopping Night Barcelona arrancó la campaña navideña.

La verdad es que el año pasado no tuve la oportunidad de asistir a este evento pero gente que si estuvo me comentó que las previsiones de asistencia superaron con creces las de la edición anterior. Paseo de Gracia estaba abarrotado y en las tiendas que participaron había cola para entrar (Santa Eulalia, Tous, Swarovski…)

Es posible que mucha gente piense que este tipo de eventos los únicos que hacen es incitar más al consumismo exacerbado. Quizás. Personalmente pienso que (aunque sea por unas horas) estos eventos nos hacen soñar, evadirnos y olvidar la maldita crisis, los eurobonos y la angustia de los recortes salariales….¡¡que falta nos hace!!!

It’s already Christmas time in Barcelona. Yesterday, the overwhelming Christmas lights all over the city and the celebration of the Shopping Night Barcelona were a clear signal that Christmas campaign is already here!

To be honest I wasn’t able to attend to the 2010 edition but those who were there told me that this year attendees far exceeded last year participants. Paseo de Gracia was crowded and so were the shops. In many of them there was a queue to allow access (Santa Eulalia, Tous, Swarovski… )

I’m sure there are people who think that this kind of events are only useful to promote “exacerbate consumerism”. That’s probably true. But I personally think that this kind of events make us dream, be away with the fairies, escape from reality and forget about the dammed crisis, the Eurobonds or the wage cut… we need it so much!!!
