¿Qué mejor manera de cerrar el año que con un resumen de los looks publicados desde que empecé el blog el pasado mes de abril? (No están todos porque el post sería muy largo y pesado, por lo que he intentado escoger los mejores...) ¿Cuál es vuestro favorito?

Look of the day: Brown chocolate

Chicas parece que el frío ya está aquí y cada vez resulta más incómodo hacerse fotos a cuerpo sin poner carita de “Díos mio que frío estoy pasando”… Pero, por otra parte, este tiempo nos permite vestir con nuestra prendas de invierno favoritas. (¡Siempre hay una parte positiva!)

Ayer las temperaturas bajaron en Barcelona y hacía viento por lo que pensé que era un día ideal para estrenar mis botas de Laura Amat que os mostré aquí. Me encanta su color, su mezcla de texturas (ante y piel), como se ajustan a mi pierna y lo cómodas que son (¡tacón ideal para aguantar todo el día!).

Las combiné con mi viejos jeans ajustados y prendas en tonos marrones  (que me encantan para esta época del año). Los complementos, como no, en tonos dorados (si me seguís ya os habréis dado cuenta de que soy “una chica de oro”) JAJAJAJAJAJA…  

¿¿A vosotras ya os apetece que llegue el frío para estrenar vuestras prendas de invierno??

Ladies it seems that cold has arrived and each day is more uncomfortable taking pictures without having the “OMG I’m freezing” face…  However, this weather allow us to dress with our favourite winter clothes. (There’s always a bright side!!)

Yesterday  temperatures dropped  in Barcelona and it was quite chilly outside. For that reason I decided to wear for the first time my new Laura Amat boots that I’ve already  shown you here. I love their colour, the mix of textures (suede and leather), how they fit my legs and how comfortable they are (ideal heel to walk all day long!!)

I paired them with my old skinny jeans and clothes in earth tones (which I find ideal for this time of the year). The accessories in gold, of course (If you follow me you may have realized that I’m “a golden girl”)  LOL

Do you fancy the cold weather  to arrive so you could  wear your winter clothes??

Le Soin Noir by Givenchy: My personal experience

Quizás recordéis que durante el evento de Thread Production (que os expliqué aquí y aquí) tuve la oportunidad de conocer a mucha gente interesante. Entre ellos estaba Miguel Ángel (maquillador de Givenchy) con quién tuve el placer de coincidir (¡por pura casualidad!) hace una semanas en Barcelona.  Apenas tuvimos 10 minutos para charlar, pero  Miguel Ángel me comentó el último y revolucionario tratamiento que ha lanzado Givenchy: LE SOIN NOIR. Antes de despedirme me dio un par demuestras para probarlo en casa.

Tengo que confesar que soy muy exigente con este tipo de productos  que prometen maravillas por lo que volví a mi casa bastante incrédula pero dispuesta a probarlo. Tras haberlo hecho durante unos 10 días me he decidido a escribir este post para contaros mi experiencia.  

Chicas… tengo que confesaros que LE SOIN NOIR ha sido un auténtico flechazo (¡¡Miguel Ángel tenías razón!!) . Sólo el nombre ya evoca lujo y misterio… Tanto la crema como el contorno de ojos y el sérum son de color negro (¡increíble!). La textura es maravillosa (nada grasa y de absorción rápida). Su olor es delicioso…  Aunque lo mejor de todo es que a los tres días de utilizarlo mi piel estaba increíblemente suave e hidratada, llena de luz y uniformidad. A los 7 días una miniarrugita que tenía en el entrecejo desapareció.

You may remember that during the Thread Production event (posted here and here) I met many interesting people. Among them, there was Miguel Angel (Givenchy’s makeup artist) whom I met by chance some weeks ago in Barcelona. Even though we only had about 10 minutes to chat, he had time to talked me about the last and revolutionary treatment Givenchy has launched: LE SOIN NOIR. Before I left he gave me some samples to try at home.

I must confess that I am very demanding with these kind of products but I came back home with the aim of testing it.   After 10 days of treatment I have decided to write this post.

Ladies I have to tell you somtehing:LE SOIN NOIR has been a real coup de foudre!!  (Miguel Angel you were right!!). The name call up for luxury and mystery… The three products have a stunning black colour (amazing!). The texture is marvelous (not greasy). It smells delicious… But the best is that after three days of  using it my skins was incredibly soft and moisturized, full of light and even-toned. After 7 days a little wrinkle I had in brow disappeared.

Pero ¿cuál es el secreto del éxito de LE SOIN NOIR?  El Alga Vital, descubrimiento de los laboratorios Givenchy.

Este alga que vive desde tiempos inmemoriales es capaz de resistir a las peores agresiones climáticas, a los daños de los rayos UV y al frío glaciar. Su sorprendente poder de regeneración se debe a sus moléculas negras de donde los científicos han extraído la Savia Negra Concentrada, componente básico de LE SOIN NOIR.  El resultado es una piel espectacularmente luminosa, regenerada y reestructurada. Iconic film: The Duchess (2008)

"La Duquesa" narra la historia de Georgiana Spencer (Keira Knightley), duquesa de Devonshire y antepasado lejano de la malograda Lady Di. Casada antes de cumplir los 17 con el Duque de Devonshire (Ralph Fiennes), Georgiana fue una mujer que rompió moldes: fue un icono de moda en su época, una sagaz oradora que supo ganarse el beneplácito de su pueblo, amiga de importantes ministros y príncipes, además de madre cariñosa, una mujer de belleza extraordinaria y amante del juego y los gustos extravagantes.

No obstante no tuvo surte en su matrimonio puesto que su marido le era descaradamente infiel, hecho que le empujó a serlo ella también (aunque de forma más discreta) con Charles Grey Earl.

Dirigida en 2008 por Saul Dibb fue interpretada por Keira Knightley, Ralph Fiennes, Hayley Atwell y Charlotte Rampling. El encargado del espectacular y suntuoso vestuario de la película fue Michael O’Connor quien ganó el Oscar y el BAFTA en 2009.

Como curiosidad comentaros que en los carteles publicitarios de la película el estudio quiso aumentar el busto de Keira algo a lo que ella se negó rotundamente (cosa que no sucedió cuando fue imagen del perfume Mademoiselle Coco de Chanel).

Una película para no perderse, en especial por las que somos amantes de las películas de época.

However she wasn’t lucky in her marriage because her husband was unfaithful to her and so she also was too with Charles Gery Earl.

Directed in 2008 by Saul Dibb was starred by Keira Knightley, Ralph Fiennes, Hayley Atwell and Charlotte Rampling. The custom designer of the spectacular and lavish wardrobe was Michael O’Connor who won the Oscar and the BAFTA in 2009.

As a curiosity, you may know that the studio executives wanted to use altered images of Keira’s bust for the promotional material but she categorically refused to do it (however she didn't refuse it when her bust was altered for the ad of Chanel Mademosille Coco perfume).

A film no to be missed, especially for those of us who love period films.
