¡Hola chic@s buenos días!

¡¡Desde luego este tiempo que tenemos es un rollo!! Un día vas de manga corta y sin medias y al siguiente con cazadora de piel y manga larga...difícil vestirse ¿verdad?

Una de las cosas que más me gusta hacer cuando el "tiempo está loco" es superponer prendas. En este caso llevo un vestidito negro a modo de falda con un jersey de manga 3/4 y cazadora. ¿Qué tengo carlor? Me lo quito. ¿Qué tengo frío? Me lo dejo. Práctico ¿no?

This weather is quite funny!! One day you're wearing shorts slevees and nude legs and the next one you put on again your leather jacket and long sleeves sweater... difficult to get dressed!

One of the things I like most when the weather is "crazy" is to layer. In the look I'm showing you today I'm wearing a LBD as a skirt with a 3/4 sleeve sweater and biker jacket. Too hot? I take them off. Too cold? I leave them on. Quite practical...right?

Is white the new black?

El blanco siempre ha sido un color tradicionalmente reservado para las novias. Pero desde hace unos años esta tendencia está cambiando para dar paso a un uso más extendido que no se limita al altar. En eventos de alfombra roja, para un cocktail, una presentación, una cena de gala,… No es extraño ver a famosas y no tan famosas vistiendo el color más puro de la gama cromática. Incluso ya se acuña el término “vestidito blanco” en contraposición con el eterno “vestidito negro”, lo que indica que no se trata de una moda pasajera.

Al contrario de lo que mucha gente cree, el blanco es un color que favorece siempre y cuando encontremos el tono que mejor combina con nuestra piel. (Eses es uno de los motivos por los que se hacen análisis de color en asesoría de imagen…)

In red carpet events, for a cocktail, a presentation, a ball… Celebrities and more common people are spotted dressed in the most pure colour of the chromatic range. You’ve probably listened the term “little white dress” (aka LWD) in opposition with the eternal “little black dress” (LBD), which indicates us that this is not a fleeting trend.

Even though many people think that white is not a very flattering colour, this is not true. In fact it can be very flattering if we know our ideal tone. (That is one of the reasons why image consultant do colour tests…)

Buying the perfect Little Black Dress

Tal y como os comenté ayer un vestido negro es una pieza clave en el armario de cualquier mujer. De hecho es una de las primeras cosas que enseño a mis clientas cuando estamos creando un Fondo de Armario. A la hora de comprar uno, hay que tener en cuenta los siguientes consejos:

-Líneas: Compra un vestido que te favorezca a tu morfología corporal. Si lo vas a tener durante años es lo mínimo para llevarlo una y otra vez.

-Calidad: Puesto que es una prenda de Fondo de Armario invierte en la máxima calidad que te puedas permitir: más vale uno bueno que muchos malos.

-Tejido: Las lanas, el cashmere o el tweed son ideales para invierno mientras que las lanas frías, seda o algodones son ideales para el verano y los cambios de estación.

-Diseño: Cuanto más simple mejor. Piensa que el look se lo vas a dar con los accesorios o sea que si quieres que sea un vestido “todo terreno” evita volantes, flores o escotes muy pronunciados (a menos que sea eso lo que necesites)

-Largo: Lo ideal es a la rodilla o justo un centímetro por encima.

As I told you yesterday, a Little Black Dress is a key piece in every woman's wardrobe. In fact is one of the first things that I learn my clients to buy when we are building a new wardrobe. When you decide to buy one it is important to bear in mind the following advices:

-Lines: Buy a dress that flatters your body shape. It is the key to wear it time and again.

-Quality: Invest in the maximum quality you could afford. It is better to have one good pieces that a lot of bad quality.

-Fabric: Wool, cashmere or tweed are ideal for winter while cold wool, silk or cotton work better for summer and mid-seasons.

-Design: The simple the better. Bear in mind that the look will be built with the accessories you add so if you want a real “multipurpose dress” avoid ruffles, flowers o very deep décolleté (unless you’re specifically looking for that)

-Length:At the knee or just one centimetre above.

If you follow these advices your buy will be perfect!!
