Nicole Kidman for Jimmy Choo A/W 2013-14

A cuadros. Así es como me he quedado al descubrir la nueva campaña de O/I de Jimmy Choo protagonizada por Nicole Kidman. 

Fotografiada por Mikel  Jansson, con estilismo de Julia Von Boehm y los diseños de la nueva directora creativa Sandra Choi, la campaña se centra en elementos del cine negro de los 40 donde Nicole juega a ser una de las heroínas de Hitchcock. 

Creo que estaréis de acuerdo conmigo en que Nicole no puede estar más guapa y favorecida gracias a ese corte bob con flequillo y su cara "normal". ¡Gracias a Dios dejó atrás su época "botulítica" y de retoques plásticos!

La reina ha vuelto... ¡larga vida a la reina!

Astonished. That's how I felt when I first saw Jimmy Choo A/W new campaign's starring Nicole Kidman. 

Photographed by Mike Jansson, styled by Julia Von Boehm and with the designs of the new Creative Director Sandra Choi, the campaign explore thems of film noir of the 40s where Nicole plays to be one of Hitchcock's heroine.

I'm pretty sure you'll agree with me that Nicole can't be more beautiful and flattered with her new fringed bob and her "normal" face. Thanks God he left behind her botox and plastic surgery obsession time!!

¿Existe algo más chic y elegante que un vestido negro llevado con zapatos de charol, labios rojos y guantes? Ayyyy... ¡¡si por mi fuera iría así todos los días!! Jajajajaja…

Chic Sunday

Normalmente los domingos son días en los que suelo vestir de manera más informal. Pero cuando hay algún evento especial entonces me encanta arreglarme. Este es el caso de ayer, en el que opté por una opción que más de una conoceréis: un top peplum sobre un vestido.

Lo cierto es que la combinación es de lo más cómoda y chic y funciona muy bien. Eso sí debéis evitar los vestidos con mangas  y procurar que el top sea de color oscuro (¡¡sino el vestido se vería!!). Un recogido le confiere el aire elegante y con clase.

¿Qué os parece chicas? ¿Habéis probado ya está opción?

On Sundays, I usually opt for a comfy a relaxed look except when I’ve got a special event. I then love to dress up!! That’s why yesterday I chose an option I’m sure most of you know: peplum top over dress.   

To be honest the combination is comfortable and chic. But we aware to pick sleeveless dresses and tops in dark colours (otherwise the dress could be seen through the top!). The final touch for and elegant and classy look is the updo.

Black and white elegance: H&M and Harper's Bazaar contest

Hace unos días, leyendo el blog de Silvia (Ladyaddict)  me enteré de que H&M y Harpers Bazaar organizan un concurso para encontrar a los bloggers más elegantes de nuestro país (más información aquí) . ¡Así que decidí participar porque creo que no se pierde nada por intentarlo!

Creo que la elegancia en algo innato, un don con el que se nace aunque, en algunos casos, se puede aprender. La elegancia no sólo es un forma de vestir sino una forma de moverse, de actuar y sobre todo, una determinada actitud ante la vida.  

Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly o Jackie Kennedy (la personificación de la elegancia) fueron mi inspiración para este concurso. Por ese motivo mi look es clásico a rabiar: blusa blanca, falda lápiz, zapatos de charol negro, bolso de mano, moño alto y labios y uñas rojas.

Some days ago while reading Silvia’s blog Ladyaddict I found out that H&M and Harpers Bazaar organise a contest to find the most elegant bloggers of our country (click here for more information). So I decide to participate as I have nothing to loose for trying!!  

I think that elegance is something innate, a gift one born with, even though in some cases it can be learnt. Elegance is not only a way of dressing but also a way of moving, of acting and a certain attitude in life.

Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly or Jackie Kennedy represented the elegance in a woman and they were my inspiration for this look. For that reason my outfit is extremely classic: white blouse, black pencil skirt, patent leather shoes, clutch, high updo and red lips and nails.

Hoy el post llega con un poquillo de retraso ¡pero es me ha sido imposible colgarlo antes! Este conjunto (que me puse el pasado fin de semana) es una mezcla del blusón que visteis aquí y el pantalón de este otro post. La verdad es que la combinación de colores es un tanto escandalosa…¡pero ideal para un día en el que te sientes floja de ánimos! Como yo hoy…;-(

Today’s post arrives a bit late. Sorry but I have not been able to connect me before! I wore this outfit last weekend and as you probably remember, the caftan was shown here and the trousers here.  Maybe this colour combination is a bit “dramatic”… but ideal when you feel blue! As I feel today…;-(

My sweet geisha

Después de mi post sobre inspiración oriental y Memorias de un Geisha, no he podio evitar inspirarme en ellos para crear este look. Vale, le toque de la sombrilla japonesa (por cierto comprada por mi madre en uno de sus viajes alrededor del mundo) es quizás demasiado, ¡pero a mi me encanta! 

Por lo demás, creo que es un outfit ideal para salir a cenar o tomar un coktail. ¿Qué os parece?

After mi post about oriental flair and Memoirs of a Geisha I couldn’t resist using this inspiration to create this look. Ok, maybe the Japanese umbrella (bought by my mum in one of her travels around the world) is too much… but I find it lovely!! 

Apart from that, I personally think that this is an idel outfit for a special dinner or having a cocktail. What do you think?
