Black and white at Valentino's exhibition

Si resulta que estáis en Londres este fin de semana no olvidéis visitar la exposición de Valentino Master of Couture en la Somerset House (¡acaba hoy!)

La verdad es que me esperaba mucho más de esta exposición por eso quizás salí un poco decepcionada. En general, los objetos expuestos eran bastante pobres y lo único que vale la pena son los 134 vestidos exhibidos en una especie de pasarela (que debe ser visitada en “zig-zag” porque no puedes ver un lado y volver luego por el otro)

Por supuesto no están permitidas las fotografías por lo que me esperaba encontrar un catálogo maravilloso en la tienda. Pero a llegar allí a parte de algunas libretas, bolsas de lona y lápices no había nada más…

No obstante ver a un auténtico Valentino delante de tus narices (cómo por ejemplo el que llevó Julia Roberts para recoger su Oscar en el año 2000) ¡¡compensó todo!!

Para ese día opté por un look que la verdad me gustaba más en la calle que en la cámara…

If you happen to be in London this weekend don't forget to visit the Valentino Master of Couture exhibition that is held in Somerset House (it ends today!).

I expected a lot of this exhibition and to be honest I felt a bit disappointed at the end. The display of elements was a bit poor and the only thing that was really worth it were the 134 dresses shown in a kind of catwalk (that has to be seen in “zig-zag” 'cause we were not allowed to visit one side and coming back to see the other).

Pictures were not allowed of course, so I expected a beautiful catalogue at the shop with all the amazing dresses photographed. Instead we found a little shop with few bags, book notes and pencils... Quite poor all in all...

However, having a real Valentino in front of your nose (like the one Julia Roberts wore when she won the Oscar in 2000) compensated everything!!

For that day I wore a look that in my opinion, worked better in reality than in the pictures...

Neal's Yard

Neal's Yard es una pequeña calle cerca de Covent Garden que desde luego merece la pena visitar si vais a Londres. Allí podréis encontrar varios restaurantes y una tienda de productos de belleza naturales: Neal's Yard Remedies.

La zona se conoce con el nombre de Seven Dials y está llena de tiendas y pequeños restaurantes que hacen las delicias de cualquiera. Nosotras descubrimos un pequeño restaurante estilo francés llamado Mon Plaisir que resultó ser el restaurante francés más antiguo de todo Londres. ¡¡Os parecerá estar en París!! (Mejor reservar en "The front" o "Upstairs" porque son las zonas con más encanto).

Neal's Yard is a small street near Covent Garden that's worth a visit if you come to London. There are several restaurants and a natural beauty products shop: Neal's Yard Remedies.

The area is known with the name of Seven Dials and it's full of shops and little restaurants. We discovered a little restaurant called Mon Plaisir that it happened to be the oldest French restaurant in London. You'll feel like in Paris!! (I suggest you to book a table in "The Front" or "Upstairs" which are the most beautiful rooms).

Una de las mejores cosas que se pueden (y deben) hacer en Londres es pasear por Portobello y perderse por sus calles. Eso si, si podéis evitar hacerlo en sábado cuando la marea de turistas lo invade todo ¡¡mejor!!

One of the best things you can do (and you must do in London) is wandering around Portobello and its beautiful streets. But be aware of not doing it on Saturday, as it's crowed with hundreds and hundreds of tourists...!!
